Love

it's sad what people mistake for love

what the world forcefully twists

and forms into vaguely love-like shapes

that fluttery feeling inside

and the desire to be near him

and the utter selflessness

to the point when

you don't even care for yourself

at all

that isn't love

it's obsession

that deep longing

those moments where you stare

just a little

too

long

that isn't love

it's lust

love isn't something you feel

it isn't something that comes and goes

like the tide

or sunny weather

love is a choice

it's what you do
